A Tara Air DHC-6-400 Twin Otter (9N-AHH) on the short flight from Pokhara to Jomsom crashed into a mountainside near Dana in Myagdi district, killing all 23 people aboard.
The investigation concluded that the crew, flying under visual flight rules in poor weather, repeatedly flew into cloud, became disoriented and flew the aircraft into terrain at about 10,700 feet. The Pokhara–Jomsom route follows the deep Kali Gandaki gorge between Dhaulagiri and Annapurna, where strong winds and fast-changing cloud make visual flying unforgiving.
